Outfit: Winter Blues

It’s starting to get mighty chilly in Vienna this week. And knowing that there is only more coldness to come I decided to wear the last of a late summer outfit while I still could.

A simple shirt & jeans and a dirty pair of converse would usually be a late summer fall outfit but by adding a coat, a wool scarf and a cosy vest singlet underneath I managed to stay a toasty warm and avoid another sweater. Because sweater after sweater day after day can be so boring and claustrophobic for someone who likes a little variety and lightness in their clothes.

How about these converse. Too dirty? Or just dirty enough? Did I mention that 90% of my closet is in storage. And in a fit of trying to pack light I decided to 2 pair of shoes would be enough for what will be  now till the end of the year. And all my winter boots & shoes are in a box under a pile of probably 20 other boxes. 2 pairs of light type shoes in November & now December? What was I thinking?

Fall Transitions

It’s officially sweater weather. The weather is definitely getting way cooler and one minute your cold and the next minute your warm. Making getting dressed in the morning a nightmare.

My go to in Fall is to cling to skirts and dresses for as long as I can. My way to do this without getting too cold is to add some boots and some light knits.

Although Fall is far from my favourite season as its way to close to winter I do like dragging out leather skirts and jackets as a change to simple summer cottons.

Under The Croatian Sun

Hey! I am back from holidays and feeling sun and sea upped. Here is a few snaps from some sightseeing around the island of Hvar in the town of Starigrad. Which by the way is beautiful and full of old ancient stone houses I just fell totally in love with.

For now I am totally exhausted and need a holiday from my holiday. But I will be updating soon to share some gorgeous sea side photos.

Golden Summer

I have been feeling so relaxed lately. Something about the sun streaming through open windows and the city just slowing down. I am at peace. It reminds me of home, my childhood and I just feel more like myself. I even look more like myself. And the sunsets lately have been mind-blowing.

This look is a combo of these 3 looks I have worn before. Here,  here & here.  All just styled with a bit more summer in mind. It is not always about adding a new piece of clothing but adopting what you already have and coming up with a killer combo.

These shoes have been in hiding over sandals and sneakers lately so I have to keep on reminding myself of them because I wanted a summer boot to alternate with.

Just Peachy

Summer is finally here and I am feeling just peachy.  Vienna is almost a whole different city in Summer. It;s like the whole city collectively comes outside again to enjoy the open air and parks and plazas.

So I grabbed the prefect loose dress for a 30 degree day to stroll around town and eat ice cream. This peachy dress is Mango from a few seasons ago, but I think its pretty timeless.

It has the prettiest shoulder embroidery and I am obsessed with this muted peachy orangey pink pallete lately. It’s also loose and forgiving for maximum ice cream consumption.

Also new in finally are my new favourite summer sandals. The Arizona Birkenstocks in metallic copper.  I am a Birkenstocks girl from way back when and love to wear them in an ageing hippie ironic way. I also have a very delicate foot from years of high heels in my hooker days ( thats a joke) Can I just say these are so unbelievably comfortable i may just sleep in them.
